Use Colors to Distinguish Functions
This table shows some general ideas for using tape colors to distinguish different areas. Each of our product lines is available in several colors, but specific colors offered vary by tape.
- 3M™ Ultra Durable Floor Marking Tape 971 – for areas with heavy traffic such as forklifts and dragged pallets
- 3M™ Vinyl Tape 471 – for lighter floor traffic, marking areas on walls, and wrapping hazards such as pipes and protruding equipment
- 3M™ General Purpose Vinyl Tape 764 – balances performance and economy for markings that change frequently
