The 3M 3MROP310 Under Sink Reverse Osmosis Replacement Water Filter Cartridge serves as the prefilter for our NSF certified 3MRO301 reverse osmosis system. We designed this cartridge to reduce particulate, and chlorine taste and odor before sending the water through the remainder of the system to filter certain contaminants for cleaner, clearer, better tasting water.
RO and SQC
Our 3M 3MROP310 Under Sink Reverse Osmosis Replacement Water Filter Cartridge is easily changed via the Sanitary Quick Change (SQC) design. With our SQC encapsulated media cartridges, we eliminate contact with the filter media during cartridge change outs with no need for a filter wrench. A quick turn of the filter is all that is needed to remove the old and replace with the new. The SQC design is one of the industry's most advanced water filtration system features. Everything is self contained in the cartridge. We also incorporated a built in shut off valve in the system that allows for changing the filter without shutting off the water supply.
Our 3MRO301 system installs under the kitchen sink and delivers cleaner, clearer, better tasting drinking water through a dedicated drinking water faucet. This system provides water filtration on demand for drinking water, coffee, tea, baby formula, etc. and cooking. Our universal system design allows for use on both chlorinated (municipal) and non chlorinated (well water) systems.

Our reverse osmosis water filtration systems help to certain impurities by forcing water through a membrane and leaving contaminants behind. Reverse osmosis is typically used in connection with thin film composite (TFC) membranes and activated carbon pre filters and post filters.
To maximize system performance and efficiency, regularly scheduled maintenance including replacement of the filter cartridges at the required interval, at the rated capacity, or sooner if a reduction in water flow occurs. Filter life is dependent on actual use and incoming water quality.
About Carbon Filtration
In many filtration applications, carbon is often the preferred media of choice to absorb certain impurities and one of the most powerful absorbents available. Carbon is highly effective due to the vast surface area contained within a small footprint. One pound of carbon contains a surface area of approximately 100 to 125 acres and can absorb an extremely wide range of substances which may be in drinking water.
